While there is a generic knowledge about Christianity as a religion in Japan, many don’t really understand the Gospel or know the power of God unto salvation. On Sunday night, we were looking at the story of the prodigal son in Luke 15. We talked specifically about what kind of sin the prodigal son would have been guilty of according to the Bible and looked at what God says is sin.
Then the question came up: “So is believing simply just being honest with yourself?” Through this question, I got to share that believing on Jesus is about trusting that Jesus died in our place for our sin and rose again. Nobody got saved, but God is at work. Please pray specifically for Takafumi who asked this question. He is 18 and needs to get saved.
