Weekly Update (9/18/2018)

While our son was admitted to the NICU last week, Silas was discharged on Saturday and we were able to all go home! Originally the doctors had planned to discharge him on Thursday, but just to make sure everything was okay, they held him for two extra days. The photo below is from when we were leaving the hospital. Rosie is recovering well and getting her rest. While she attended our home church on Sunday, I had the opportunity to present in two churches in GA that are close by. We appreciate your continued prayers for us as we adjust to parenting and a new deputation phase.

The premiere missions event of the year is coming up! the OUR GENERATION SUMMIT will be held near Columbus, Ohio this coming December. If you are interested in missions as an individual, youth group, or pastor, the summit is designed to to help you learn how to be involved as well as how to promote missions in the local church. You will want to register early, so sign up here.

From the News

Japanese has many indirect ways of not only saying “no” but also asking a host of other questions. Though a bit technical, this article demonstrates the complexities Japanese can present to language learners. Pray for the missionaries in Japan!
