Over the last week, Rosie experienced her first earthquake here in Japan! Around 10:30 at night, our phones started going crazy saying an earthquake was about to hit. Moments later, our place began to shake. Fortunately, no damage was done. For a short time, there was a tsunami warning on the coast, but the wave measured less than 1 foot (whew!). Silas slept through the whole thing.
This coming Sunday morning, the church is going to have Friend Day. Please be praying that we can make some new contacts through this. Also, please continue to pray for the Sunday services that I have the opportunity to lead.
In other news, our mission board, just accepted three new families! We are excited to be part of a growing missions team.

From the News
Many people commute to work and school by train in Japan. Recently, a major power outage in lower Japan delayed many people from getting to work. Apparently, a slug had worked its way into the system and caused the slowdown! Read more about the incident here.
