This past weekend, the mattress for our bed arrived. The words of Psalm 127:2 come to mind: “He giveth to his beloved sleep.” We are thankful that the final pieces of furniture are almost here as we work on finalizing our house here.
On Thursday, we had a visitor to the English corner. As the gentleman and I spoke, I came to find out that he had practiced English at a church in a different part in Japan for a couple of years. He even shared with me that he stopped attending the church because their thinking was too narrow. He wanted people to get along with other religions.
While we showed him from the Bible that Jesus IS the only way, the next day he said that our teaching did not fit his thinking so he would not come back. It was sad to see he had rejected Jesus and the Bible, but we press on.
Please continue to pray for Yuko to get saved. She has started asking good questions especially after the message Bro Hill preached on Sunday morning.

The Sakura (cherry blossoms) in Japan are more that just a seasonal flower. Sakura are iconic. Like the white Christmas is the often pictured as an ideal Christmas, the ideal picture of starting out the school year is to go with the Sakura in full bloom (schools in Japan start in the spring). to predict where and when these iconic flowers will bloom, there is an extensive network in place. You can read more about it here.
