While James grew up in Japan and already spoke Japanese, Rosie was born and raised in GA. To be able to live and work as a missionary, Rosie attended a language school to learn how to read, write, and speak Japanese.
In this episode, we talk through what it was like for someone to go from zero Japanese to comfortably functioning in Japan using Japanese. We also talk about things we did to help expedite her learning process.
