Getting Things Moving (2/26/2019)

It is hard to believe how quickly time continues to fly by and that February is almost about to end. The Lord is continuing to work here.

This week, we have been able to get into a more regular routine compared to the last several weeks since our setup is almost complete. I am working to focus energy on evangelism and getting people into church. Rosie is continuing to work on her Japanese and even started to write her name in Japanese! Rosie’s language learning has also been a great opportunity to share God’s word. Silas began his adventures crawling around the living room over this past week. He gets around!

Please continue to pray for the church here and the Hill family. This past Sunday Morning, we had a good number of people attend. We also were able to go door to door in on of the areas right behind the church. Like many places, we had a lot of “NO”s, but we glad for the few who were willing to open the door and talk for a little bit. Most Japanese houses have a doorbell/intercom system so it is not uncommon for people to be home but only talk through the intercom.

Since many people walk to school and work in the mornings, we are planning to get out early and try to distribute literature. Please pray that we could see fruit from this.

From the News

A hundred years seems like a long time, but it really is not that long. A video was recently published showing Japan from 100 years ago in the capitol city. You can see it here. While technology has spread rapidly and changed the lives of the people, please be praying for the Gospel to spread and change lives!
