Beginnings (2/19/2019)

Since our last update, Rosie started working on learning Japanese with one of the ladies that has been attending the church. They were able to meet for a couple hours and have already set up their next appointment. While we are working to get her into an official language school that begins in April, she has already been making strong progress in pronunciation and listening. We are also in the middle of working out another tutor to help her on a more regular basis, so please be praying for that.

Speaking of language school, this past Sunday, we had a visitor at the church between services. As we finished up lunch, we heard the front door to the building open and in walked the gentleman who we have been talking to at the language school. He said that he just happened to be walking by and realized that the church was here and stopped in. We were able to have a good conversation and I was also able to share the Gospel with him. God continues to bring people our way!

From the News

Throughout Japan, convenience stores are everywhere. Yes, they are EVERYWHERE. You can find just about anything at these stores including a variety of foods. Many even have bicycle parking (and apparently scooter parking too from the picture above). To read about the different food options that are available, check out this article.
