A unique opportunity (11/5/2019)

“What is righteousness?”

Right after we sang the song “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness” (in Japanese of course), an older lady who visited for the first time this past Sunday morning asked what righteousness is. Bro Hill had the chance to explain what it is right there in the service! This lady had come for the first time.  She said she is learning about different religions especially since she is getting close to the end of her life. Please pray for the Lord to work in Mrs. Koizumi‘s life.

This coming Thursday at 3 pm (1 am Eastern Time), I will be going to a school close to our house to meet one of the teachers. The other day I called them to see if it would be possible to help out with their after-school English club. While I half-expected them to say no, they instead asked if we could meet in person. Please pray this goes well and that the Lord will use it as an opportunity to reach young people.

From the News

It is not uncommon to hear about the long hours people work in Japan. In fact, one guy that I met is about to quit his job because they don’t even let him have a lunch break.

Recently, Microsoft Japan did a little experiment by giving their workers more time off. You might find the results in this article fascinating.
