On Saturday we had a special White Day event at the second church plant. White Day is a Japanese holiday that is exactly one month after Valentine’s Day. This holiday is supposed to be for people to give chocolate back to those whom they received chocolate from on Valentine’s Day. We had six people outside of church staff come to the event, and even had a first-time visitor. We did the event on Saturday, and one man from that event came to church on Sunday!

Since many events are getting cancelled due to the coronavirus, and people are very bored, we decided to do an Onigiri party at the church this coming Sunday night. Onigiri is Japanese for a rice ball that is usually filled with meat or other ingredients. We are working on inviting people that we know to this in addition to getting them to come to the Sunday night service.
