On Sunday, we had the chance to be with a church in Mississippi and a church in Alabama. We praise the Lord that three trusted Christ for salvation on Sunday morning! It was encouraging for us to see that the Lord continues to work in hearts and lives! Today we are heading north for some meetings in Ohio.
It was brought to my attention that one of the links that went out in our prayer letter yesterday did not work. I apologize for this. For updates about the church building in Japan (including pictures and building fund updates, please visit http://risingsonmission.com (no s at the end of mission).

Have you ever wondered what Dagon (1 Samuel 5:4) looked like when he fell over? Something similar happened to an idol in Japan recently. See the news section.

From the News
With the recent typhoons, one 25-meter (82ft), 40-ton idol was sent crashing to the ground. The Japanese article says this is the tallest golden plated statue of its kind in Japan. Sources say that the damages could be over ¥100,000,000 (about $900,000). While this article is in Japanese, it includes pictures and a video of the idol flat on its face. I seriously doubt this was simply some wind blowing. God is still showing that He is the One True God!
