Weekly Update (1/9/2018)

Greetings from North Carolina! On Sunday we were able to present in two different churches in South Carolina, and yesterday and today we are in North Carolina for a missions conference. Tomorrow (Wednesday), we will be heading toward the western side of North Carolina for a meeting since our original meeting in Tennessee had to cancel. We are excited that the Lord opened up doors for us to present elsewhere. Friday, we are also scheduled to be with a church in Georgia, so please continue to pray for us as we travel.

We also received an updated report from our home office about our support, and we are now at 41% of our needed support to get back to Japan. Thank you for continuing to pray for us that our support would come in quickly so we can get back to Japan.

Practical expressions of man’s sinful nature are all over the place. Recently, a Japanese man was banned from the Olympics for 8 years. See the news section to find out more.

From the News

Sports competition can be tough. It is often sad to see olympians as they disgracefully admit to using drugs to enhance their performance. Recently, however, an athlete in Japan was caught putting drugs in another athlete’s drink so the other athlete would be disqualified. No matter how polite and orderly a society may appear on the outside, sin still manifests itself. Click here to read about the incident.
