It was Saturday. My phone buzzed from a response to the message we sent out from our church. “If I can make it, I’ll be there tomorrow!” The message was from a lady who has come to the church multiple times (though infrequently). She normally messages us just before she comes so we were looking forward to having her come (she isn’t saved).
However, an hour before the PM service, we received another message. After thinking it through, she decided that she will no longer come because she is Buddhist. She has clearly heard the Gospel, and we were deeply saddened because her decision is a decision to walk away from Jesus. Buddhism continues to rear its ugly head, but we still have the life-giving Gospel. While we cannot decide about Christ for people, we must continually work so people can hear the Gospel (faith comes by hearing).
