Get more chairs out! Recently we moved away from gathering around two tables (about 10 chairs) to having a circle (12-13 chairs) on Sunday mornings because we have started to see a steady stream of visitors. Four of the six who came on the Sunday we had 17 people (2 weeks ago) have continue to come back, and this past Sunday, we had an additional 7 visitors (although a few came in late).

When it was all said and done, our parking was maxed out, and we had to pull out more chairs. Going back and doing a head count, we had 20 people in attendance on Sunday (16 adults, 4 kids). We are currently working on “Next Steps” for regulars and first timers to help get people plugged in. Please pray for wisdom as we proceed.

Thank you for those who have been praying for Rosie and the boys. They are doing better now except for some minor congestion (maybe allergies?)

P.s. Next week we will be going on family vacation so no weekly update

Since Japan has a long history, the government has declared some things to be “cultural assets” including art forms, people, and buildings. One temple in Kyoto has once such cultural asset which happens to be the oldest toilet in Japan. Recently, the BBC did a report on a man made a HUGE MESS out of this facility and you can read about it in this article.

BONUS: this article shares a little bit more about this history behind the building.
