Taking Turns (8/20/2019)

We have had several people who are originally from Fukushima who have come to the church. Fukushima is the area that was severely affected in 2011 by the earthquake and nuclear meltdown. Some of these visitors have only been in town for a short time while others currently live in Niigata. While the tragic event was heartbreaking, we can’t help but wonder if it stirred people to think about spiritual things.

This week, we are continuing our preparations for getting our Japanese driver’s licenses. Part of the test includes memorizing a couple predefined routes on a driving course and driving the specified course (pictured above) from memory on the day of the test.  In our case, taking the test is by appointment only, but we were able to get our spot reserved for September 13th.

Please continue to pray for the church plant here in Niigata. Sunday night we looked at how God wants everyone to be saved and made a way for everyone to be saved from 1 Tim 2:4-6. Please pray for the Holy Spirit to work in people’s hearts!
