As we have been working on ur paperwork here in Niigata, I couldn’t help but notice a large statue in the downtown area (pictured above). Later in the week we got to get closer and see that it is standing on a two story building and stand about 5 stories tall. Idols like these are a continual reminder of why we are here.
ATTENTION ALL PASTORS: On February 4-6, Vision Baptist Church will be hosting the second annual Our Generation Pastor’s Conference. We had a wonderful time last year and would love for you to attend if you have not already planned to do so. For details, please visit http://ourgenerationministries.org/events/og-pastors-conference/.
We had quite a bit of snow over the weekend, with some still left on the ground from the weekend. Even with the weather, we were able to start moving into our house and this morning, we checked our of the hotel we have been staying. Tonight will be our first night in our new place. Please continue to pray for our setup to go smoothly as we set up our base of operations here!
Please continue to pray for the Hill family as well as the work at Hope Baptist Church. Since people celebrate Valentines Day in Japan, we have several things planned to reach out to people and get them to church.

In many Japanese cities, you are required to separate your trash by different categories. Some areas (including ours), sell designated trash bags just for burnables! Since much of Japan tries to be conscious about the environment, different days are designated for different types of trash pickup. To read more about the trash situation, you might find this article interesting. Calendars with the trash pickup schedule are available at the city hall for your convenience.
