Details discussed in this video:

The last few months have been a whirlwind of transitions for us. Three days after arriving in the States in late July, I received word that my father had passed away and I had to return to Japan to preach his funeral. Thank you to everyone who has continued to pray for us. We have been very much aware that God has been sustaining us through this season. Thankfully, our entire family has been healthy this furlough, which has been an answer to prayer. God has provided us an apartment close to Rosie’s parents and we get to see Rosie’s family frequently when we are not travelling. In August, we also attended orientation with our new mission board and have been working to set things up with them.

Though we have faced some setbacks during the transition, we are seeing some incredible things take place. I (James) had the chance to speak at our new home church (Eastwood Baptist Church). We later heard that a lady trusted Christ. We have also re-connected with some people who have come on Recon trips and shared with their churches what God has been doing in Japan. God is connecting us with people who are praying about ministry in Japan and I’m constantly fielding messages from people interested in taking next steps toward Japan.

While we are needing to raise some additional support, please keep praying that our time here in the States will stay focused on raising awareness and recruiting laborers for Japan. If you know someone sensing God’s call to Japan, please connect me to them. Thank you for faithfully partnering with us. It is clear God is at work, and we know that what we do is possible through your faithful prayers and support.
