Out of the ordinary (4/16/2019)

How quickly the weeks seem to fly by! This past Sunday, I was given the opportunity to preach the Sunday morning service while Bro Hill was preaching at another church. The Friday night guitar classes are still in progress and we had the same three show up. While many people know the tune to the song Amazing Grace, they do not know what the word Grace means. In addition to the guitar lesson, I had the chance to explain what the word grace means and show them that salvation is by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8) ! Please continue to pray for these lessons that will continue to run through the end of April.

We are also in the process of creating discipleship material for to help people gain a broader understanding of the Bible and Jesus. While there are simple tri-fold pamphlets, they discuss basic topics like “Who is God?”, “What is Sin?”, and “Jesus Christ.” This past Sunday, I was able to go over some of this material with Mr. Kawase who made a profession of faith a few weeks back.

This weekend, Rosie will have her placement test for the language school followed by the official entrance ceremony to the school on Saturday. Additionally, we will be having a special Easter event at the church this coming Sunday. Please pray that both the testing on Friday and the Easter event on Sunday will go well.
