Church Planting in Japan

James and Rosie are church planting missionaries to Japan. They are members of Eastwood Baptist Church in Marietta, GA and serve in Japan under MissionGo.

While preparing for the mission field, James and Rosie began spending time together through ministry and outreach at the church. They were married on April 8th, 2017. Together they travelled to churches all over the East Coast to present the ministry and raise the support needed to live and work in Japan as missionaries. God has blessed the Miyashita family with three sons, Silas, Amos and Ezra.

James and Rosie arrived in Japan on January 2nd, 2019 for their first term of language acquisition and cultural adaptation and have been working with Will and Rebelle Hill in Niigata, Japan. Beginning in 2021, they launched out to plant a church in Nagoya and their goal is to see 16 churches started in the city (one for each ward) by 2030.
