March 2018 Prayer Letter

We are excited to let you know that we are expecting our first child this year! The due date is September, and we will find out the baby’s gender in a couple months. Please be praying for us (and especially Rosie!) as we travel during this time.

March is another heavy month in which we are scheduled to be at 19 different churches. The number is especially high this month because the Lord as opened up the doors for us to be part of 6 mission conferences in addition to our regularly scheduled meetings. Please be in prayer for our safety as we travel.

Also in March, I (James) will have the opportunity to promote VBM’s one-year internship program at Pensacola Christian College with our mission board director Bro. Jeff Bush on Monday, March 12th. The program is designed to provide hands-on experience for Bible college graduates before they heading to the field. Please be praying that the Lord would allow us to connect with the right students that are seeking the Lord’s will about serving overseas.

Whether trying to figure out how to plan and promote missions in the church or how to handle the never-ending calls from missionaries, pastors have a lot on their plate when it comes to missions. In order to be a help in these and other areas, Vision Baptist Missions will be hosting the Our Generation Pastor’s Conference on May 7-9 Vision Baptist Church. We would love to be an asset to you and your missions program, so if you or any pastors you know might be interested in attending, please visit ogpastors.com to register ($50 per person).

Finally, please be in prayer for the Hill family as they have ended their short furlough to head back to Japan. Please be praying for their safety, re-adjustment, and service as they work to get the Gospel out. We are looking forward to joining them on the field, and ask that you pray for them as they begin working on their first church plant in Japan.

Yours for Japan,
The Miyashita Family
