We have recently begun to work on getting our Japanese driver’s licenses. There are several countries that Japan allows a quick transfer with just some paperwork, but unfortunately licenses from 49 of the 50 states do not transfer like this. Maryland state licenses are the only ones that do. We are currently on our international driver’s licenses
On Monday, we were able to get paperwork turned in and approved so we can officially take the written and driving exam. In Niigata, there are a couple of different routes that they expect you to completely memorize on the driving course. Once we take the written portion and pass, then we will move on to the driving portion. They require reservations, so we are looking to take the exam in September since August is already booked.
This coming Sunday, we are having a special Kakigori (shaved ice) outreach event at the church. Please be praying for 1) Good weather, 2) new visitors, 3) Holy Spirit to convict those who come and 4) that we can see some saved! We have had several positive responses to the invites we have been handing out, so please be praying that the Lord will use this time.
