Details discussed in this video:

In June we hosted a recon week for six prospective missionaries plus a cameraman, and the team bonded well while gathering footage that Samuel is now editing. He also stayed to shoot another promotional piece, adding to an already packed schedule. At the same time, we began winding down our lease on the church building and—after some confusing back-and-forth with the property manager— ended up being allowed to leave all the interior improvements in place. We now only need to clear out personal furniture before flying to the United States in less than three weeks.

Family life has been equally full: Rosie celebrated her birthday, my parents visited, and our eldest son Silas befriended a classmate whose father recently became a Christian after afriend had witnessed to him for two decades. We also welcomed a first-time visitor who booked counseling through our website, providing an opportunity to share the gospel. Please be praying as we wind things down and for our children to stay healthy as we return to the states for a few months before returning to Japan.

As a side note, Rosie and I recorded an EXTENSIVE review of the last 4 years on the field. We imagine it as the living room conversation we would like to have with you after church telling you the joys and frustrations we have experienced during our time in Nagoya.
