Thank you for your prayers for our kids’ program! As of the writing of this prayer letter, we have already held three kids’ clubs. We have been excited to have both first-time visitors and family friends come and participate. Perhaps the most exciting part, however, has been seeing Christians get plugged in, excited, and helping out! It is neat to see Christians getting more involved and taking personal responsibility to help at the church plant.
Wednesday nights we have just completed a study on Gospel-centered living and how it creates an increasing awareness of sin, but also an increased awareness of God’s holiness. We are now beginning a new series on the Gospel as it relates to the workplace. We are praising God for the growth we are seeing in the Christians regularly attending church and Bible study. Please pray with us that this growth will lead to fruit and opportunities for the furtherance of the Gospel here in Japan.
Spring Recon Tour starts soon, (mid-March!) and 6 individuals coming for a week to see Japan and explore the possibility of doing ministry here. Please pray for God to work in their hearts and to make it clear if there is a future ministry in Japan for each of them. If you missed this trip, be sure to visit reachingjapan.com/recon to see details about our Summer and Fall Recon Tours.
As part of our initiative to raise awareness for the spiritual needs of Japan, we will be doing a special LIVE seminar on Monday night, February 26th. It will be simultaneously streamed to YouTube (click here↗︎) and Instagram( click here↗︎) at 9pm Eastern time. If you or someone you know would is considering ministry or ministry in Japan, please forward them this information!
Please pray specifically with us for a man who has been attending our church over a year now but has yet to choose to believe in Jesus. Lately he has been asking many questions about Christianity and it seems that God is at work in his heart. We are very grateful for each of you that take time to read our updates and we covet your prayers for the ministry here in Japan.
Yours for Japan,
James Miyashita
