Breaking the Ice (7/30/2019)

Rosie finished her first term on language school on Friday. It is hard to believe how quickly it has come and gone! She has improved significantly in her language even in day to day things like making a phone call. This week my (James’) parents are visiting from out of town and it is their wedding anniversary is on Wednesday. Rosie was able to order a cake their cake for them by herself! That’s progress!

Sunday we had the Kakigori event at the church. There was a typhoon (hurricane) coming and we thought that it would spoil the weather, but we ended up having great weather and were able to go ahead as planned. While we didn’t have the turnout we expected, everyone who came stayed for the service afterward. A few had never been to a Sunday night service, so that was exciting to see. Please pray that the Lord will continue to work in people’s hearts.
