Thank you to those of you who reached out to us about the large typhoon (aka hurricane in the US) that blew through over the weekend. Thankfully, we were not in its direct path so our area did not receive the brunt of the typhoon’s force. We had ordered a new magnet for the sign on our shutter, and when I went to check on it on Monday, our old sign had started to tear up. The timing worked out perfectly to replace it.
On Sunday, we had two new first-time visitors. after the service, one of them starting asking if the church was open at others times as well. It turns out that he had questions and wanted to talk so we were able to sit down and talk right there. He had previously heard that church attendance is a necessary component of salvation at a Catholic church so sat down and started talking about how salvation is only because of what Jesus has done.
Over the weekend two other people who live near Tokyo reached out about church/Bible related matters because they came across our info on the web. God is continuing to send people and contacts. Please keep the prayers coming!

Here’s a thought. How about we just get rid of bank accounts? Japan seems to be taking a step that direction as they work out details to let employers pay employees electronically instead of using money. Check out this article to learn more about the possibilities and challenges.
