After a prolonged few days of contractions, Rosie was admitted the the hospital on Sunday night and gave birth to our son, Silas, on Monday around 3:50 PM Eastern Time. Right after he was born, the doctor was very concerned about his breathing an he was rushed to the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) and placed on a breathing tube and given extra oxygen.
We would like to thank everyone that has been praying and following along with our Facebook and text updates. Rosie had to receive two units of blood after giving birth, but is now doing much better. Silas is now off of the breathing tube and is no longer receiving oxygen so all seems well. Lord willing, they will both be discharged on Thursday.
