Alas! This past weekend special prevention measures for Covid ended in 18 prefectures (states) including ours. It was a three-day weekend here in Japan so the measures extended through Monday, but we had a good turnout at the church. We decided to do a simple time of fellowship after the service by telling everyone to bring an Obento (box lunch). A gentleman who has been consistently coming on Wednesdays came for the first time on Sunday and we had a first-time visitor as well.
In other news, our family has been dealing with some sickness (and maybe allergies) for a while now. We could use your prayers for recovery as we continue pressing forward.

If you’ve ever been to Washington D.C. this time of the year, you know that cherry blossoms along the Potomac River are beautiful. They’re just about to be in full bloom here in Japan too. McDonalds has taken the opportunity market several Cherry blossom themed sweets in Japan. Learn more about the collection here.
