Details discussed in this video:

This past month we combined our monthly Kids Club with an Easter egg hunt. Over 40 kids—many first-time guests—heard the gospel as we shared the resurrection story. Several of our neighbors and three families from the boys’ school came, and one little girl mentioned she now knows about Jesus as a result of the interaction. Not long after, a different neighbor couple we’ve been studying the Bible with attended a Sunday service for the very first time. We also hosted a booth at the TV-Tower marche (like a open air market) downtown, giving us fresh contacts for English conversation and Bible study.

At the same time, our monthly Japanese‐as-a‐Second-Language (JSL) class launched well. We have had almost thirty registrants from places including Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Brazil, Myanmar, and Vietnam. Because of this, we have had to close registration. God even sent an experienced Christian Japanese teacher to help after a chance encounter at Starbucks!

Looking ahead, we’ll return to the States from late July for a several-month furlough. Our big task now is training volunteers to keep the JSL class running smoothly while we’re away, and preparing our family, support raising, and recruiting efforts for that trip.
