Wins (10/3/2023)

This past Sunday was not anything “special” in the sense of big events/activities or large crowds, but we got to see several “wins.”

Win #1: This Sunday marked a milestone for us. Two regulars took charge of counting the offering and handling the paperwork without any prompting – a first in our church plant history!

Win #2: The post-service gathering turned into a learning session. The guy who usually handles slides showed another younger guy the ropes of our Bible verse and sermon display program.

“Wins” like this may seem small, but we feel they are major steps for the church at large. Please continue to pray with us as we go into the last quarter of the year that we can see people come to know Christ here in Nagoya!

Death and taxes may come to all, but tourists might need to deal with more taxes than the rest of us. See the news section.

  • People gradually learning and taking ownership at the church plant
  • Young Men to train for the ministry
  • Church Growth
  • 5 people to get saved and baptized this year

Japan is said to be facing “over tourism” in some areas because of the large influx of tourists. One Island decided that they would start charging an extra “tourist tax” to help with this problem. Read all about their plans here. Do you think it makes sense?
