October 2018 Prayer Letter

On September 10th, our son Silas was born! Since our meetings were very close to home around the time when he was born, I was able to present in churches without missing any meetings. Both Rosie and Silas are safely home and on the road again! Since we are going into missions conference season, we are currently scheduled to be with 16 different churches in October. Please continue to pray for safety on the road, as we raise the remainder of our needed support to get back to Japan.

Since we are now within 3 months of our departure (January 1st), we are working to get Rosie’s visa and Silas’ paperwork done. Since Silas will have dual citizenship, we are in the process of getting his two passports. Please pray that all this paperwork will go through smoothly and quickly in time for our intended departure.

In Japan, Will Hill has begun renting a building for the Hope Baptist Church to meet in. However, there are still renovations that need to be done before they can start meeting there. To learn more about this project, please visit their website: www.risingsonmission.com. Please be praying for the Hill family as they plant this church!

We would like to remind you about the Our Generation Summit which will be held in central Ohio. The Summit is designed to help people of all ages learn how to be engaged in the Great Commission. Please visit www.OGsummit.com to register. Additionally, we would like to invite all who would be interested in coming to Japan next summer to the 2019 Japan missions trip. For details and information about this please visit our website www.ReachingJapan.com/trip2019

Finally we would like to thank all who have given to help with our setup fund. While there are a few items left, we are overwhelmed by the generosity you have shown in giving to help us get set up once we are in Japan. Thank you for your prayers and continued support!

Yours for Japan,
The Miyashita Family
