Japan consists of four major islands: Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku, and Kyushu along with thousands of other smaller islands. On the Northern part of Kyushu is the city of Kitakyushu City.
If you know anything about Japanese, you might know that the word kita(北) means north. Kitakyushu City is on the northern part of Kyushu island. Kitakyushu City has about 1 million people with only 5 baptist churches that I could find.
There are several interesting things about this city. When Japan was moving toward industrialization, the government-owned steel works in Japan were in this city. On the semi-political side, Kitakyushu City is home to one of the registered Yakuza factions. The Kudo-kai still operates today and is also involved in mafia-like activities.
